‘Read More’ isn’t going to work for me, is it? *sigh* It never does.
I WOULD BE OKAY WITH BEING TOLD ABOUT ANY OF THESE THINGS, ECCENTRIC KNOWLEDGE IS PRETTY MUCH ONE OF THE GREATEST QUALITIES A PERSON CAN HAVE ASD;KFJSADFJSLDFSADF
Don’t worry, I can’t drive either. All my friends are moving towards getting their full license and I still haven’t even sat behind a steering wheel. And yet.
*screaming* YES YES YES I LOVE PARALLELS, THAT IS BRILLIANT. Also yes, Hamlet would probably have been a pretty inefficient king, all things considered. I suppose if he had a good enough council he could have been all right - a council including Horatio and very much not including anyone else like Polonius who is so infuriatingly useless, can I just say, good god, man, just shut. Up. Also stop spying on your own son. *all the Polonius rage*
NEVER STOP RAMBLING ABOUT STUPID THINGS, STUPID THINGS ARE THE BEST KIND OF THINGS.
Well, Lestrade!Laertes doesn’t seem the type to fuck off to Paris for a bit to “study”, unless we want to send him there on some sort of international case or something, so he can probably be a bit closer to home and therefore maybe have some more screen time (especially if we go with your suggestion of not sending Sherlock to Denmark or wherever which is a very good idea, because Sherlock is a very localised show, does anyone else notice this? London is not so much a setting as a very highly-developed (and absolutely gorgeous) character in her own right (now I’m just thinking of the good ship Serenity from Firefly, have you ever seen that show?). In The Great Game, Sherlock wonders if Moriarty’s “working his way round the world, showing off”, when only one of the places he’s mentioned is actually outside the UK. There’s things like the case at the beginning of TGG, in Belarus, and the whole Chinese thing in The Blind Banker - but the scandal’s been moved from Bohemia to Belgravia, and somehow I just can’t see them going to Switzerland for Reichenbach. Localising the crossover is probably a good idea, and oh my god, look at me ramble).
But also yes, oh god, I don’t want to kill everyone, whyyy. Except we totally should because there’s a reason it’s called The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark and also this fandom basically lives off equal parts crack and angst, so - it’s only fitting, I suppose. (Simultaneous XD and D8)
The Tragedy of Sherlock, Prince of London. Oh god, my poor heart is so not going to be able to handle this.
KILLER BEEEEEEEES?! DD8
Hnng, I almost want to agree to that, maybe Sherlock’s imagining it, because then that would totally solve the whole ‘two villains’ problem except no, because John saw it too (with… um… a couple of old army mates? On… the battlements… of… uh-oh), unless maybe Moriarty killed Mummy? No, no, that ruins the epicness of Mycroft!Claudius, but I don’t want Mycroft to kill Mummy, that’s just not fair, maybe it was euthanasia, maybe it was for the good of something or other or oh god all the conflicted feeeliiiings
